Suzuki training at the Chicago Suzuki Institute, Stevens Point, and Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp. Over forty years teaching experience with children. Developed string orchestra programs in two parochial schools. Violist in the Gaska String Quartet. Member of ASTA, AF of M, and SAA.*
Joyce Davis bio pic Joyce Davis Music Director, Violin/Viola, Sound Beginnings  B.S. from Purdue University. Suzuki Music School Director since 1987. Extensive Suzuki training; including training with Dr. Suzuki. Over thirty years teaching experience. Second violin of the Gaska String Quartet. Member of AF of M and SAA.*
DSC06424 Aubrey Houser Violin Physics Major, Saint Mary’s College. Suzuki Training with Wendy Azrak and Linda Stieg. Valedictorian of John Glenn High School in 2017. Teacher’s assistant in Group classes since 2012. Theory Instructor since 2015. Assistantship with Dr. Ian Bentley in physics researching Heisenberg’s uncertainty relation with different wave functions. Member of the SAA.
 Joe Higginbotham Joe Higginbotham Piano M.M., University of Notre Dame; B.M. University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Suzuki training with Marilyn Anderson. 17 years experience as a private piano teacher.  Full time Director of Liturgy and Music at St. Bavo Catholic Church in Mishawaka for over 20 years. Director of the Liturgical Choir at Marian High School for nine years. Produced 6 CD’s which included composing original music and arranging musical settings with four part vocal harmonies and parts for various instruments.
Rosie McCormick bio pic Rosie McCormick Piano, Music & Movement  Winthrop College. Her Suzuki training was with Ray Landers, Nehama Patkin and Doris Koppelman. Kodaly, Orff and Dalcroze training at Andrews University and Stevens Point. Over 30 years teaching experience, including special education. Former music director at Montessori Academy, St. Joseph Grade School and IUSB Music Academy. Music coordinator for St. Patrick Church, South Bend. Member of SAA.*
Terry Powells bio pic Terry Powells Piano, B.A., Ohio Dominican University, M.A., University of Notre Dame. She has been an organist for several parishes over the years. She studied piano and organ at Ohio Dominican University with Richard Carth and was the music minister for the college community. She received a B.A. in religious studies, art education, and social psychology. She spent many years teaching grades K-12. Terry has been with our program since its inception till 1998. She rejoined our faculty in 2007. She received her Suzuki training from Nahama Parkin and Jean Lueake.
 Tamara Stojanovic bio pic Tamara Stojanovic Violin M.M. with Chamber Music emphasis, San Francisco State University. B.A.,University of Florence, Italy. Diplomas in Violin Performance, State Conservatory of Music, Florence, Italy, and School of Music, Kragujevac, Serbia. Suzuki violin teacher since 2000. Training with Donna Lim, Liz Arbus, Susan Kempter, Ed Sprunger, Joanne Melvin, Kimberly Meier Sims and Alice Joy Lewis. Active chamber musician and Violin Instructor at Notre Dame since 2006. Concertmaster of LaPorte County Symphony since 2007, joined South Bend Symphony in 2007. Member of AF of M, ASTA and SAA.*

Suzuki Music School of Granger Violin Faculty since 2009. Suzuki training with Sharon Jones, Dorothy Jones, Jean Stucky, Terry Durbin Geri Arnold, Wendy Azrak, Rebecca Sandrok, Ed Sprunger, Nancy Jackson and Alice Joy Lewis.  First violinist of Silver Strings Quartet. Fischoff Geoffroy Award winner in 2009 and June 2009 Fischoff Artist of the Month. Member of SAA & SAI.*

Elaine Burns Elaine Burns Music Theory B.A., English & Art, Northern Illinois University. Associate Faculty of Art, Loyola University and University of Illinois at Chicago Circle. Home school teacher for fifteen years. Music theory teacher at the Suzuki Music School since 1995. Office Manager for St. Joseph County Assessor since September 2013.
